The planned owner-only pilot would use Yahoo IMAP with only the separately approved mail-r read scope to inspect Inbox and Junk/Spam. It would not request mail-w, CardDAV, or CalDAV.
Pre-launch
J.SCEW is a product in development intended to help its owner notice potentially consequential Yahoo messages, including messages from unfamiliar senders and messages in Junk/Spam.
The planned owner-only pilot would use Yahoo IMAP with only the separately approved mail-r read scope to inspect Inbox and Junk/Spam. It would not request mail-w, CardDAV, or CalDAV.
It is not designed to send, reply, forward, move, delete, mark messages read, create rules, open links, load remote images, or separately open or decode attachments.
Email content is treated as untrusted data, not as authority. Classification output cannot authorize tools or broaden mailbox permissions.
J.SCEW is not a spam filter, an autonomous security system, a guarantee that important mail will be detected, or a replacement for provider security and human judgment. Reliability and live-provider behavior have not been established. The current implementation has been tested offline with synthetic data and local fakes only.
